MASSAZA CUP 2024: KYADDONDO WITH A MASTERFUL VICTORY IN LUWERO.
It was a thrilling encounter on Sunday 21st July 2024 for Kyaddondo Ssaza FC in Kasana Luwero as they crushed the hosts Bulemeezi Ssaza FC 2-0 at Kasana play ground.
Bulemeezi looked fit for that task ahead pressing hard and getting their first corner in 7minutes of the game, but failed to convert it.
With much aggression from both teams, Kyaddondo proved bright behind the ball missing a clear relay in 20th minute and winning a set piece that was well curved in by Samuel Kisozi from a few meters outside the 18yards box putting Kyaddondo in the lead at 24 minutes into the game.
Bulemeezi failing to convert yet another free kick in the 28th minute, coach Nkata Paul made a double substitution with on ly 5minutes left on the first half fielding shirt 3. Santos Martial and shirt 10. Semujju Denis removing shirt 9. Kiyemba Erias and shirt 14. Obed Giu Ronald respectively in search for an early equalizer but at the halftime mark Kyaddondo was still in the lead.
Bulemeezi vibrantly kicked of the second half with a quick corner in 47th minute in search for a goal but Kaweesi Erick Kyaddondo's goal was giving no chances.
Another set piece swang in by Massembe for bulemeezi but goes wide out at 51 minutes into the last half as Bulemeezi continued to push for an equalizer.
Coach Medi Nyanzi for Kyaddondo realizing a threat immidiately introduced a new force checking his left wing, shirt 11. Ismail Keita Ndifuna replacing shirt 13. Denis Kigundu in the 64th minute.
Bulemeezi made another change shirt 20.Nkoola Arafat coming on for shirt 7. Mansoor Bashir in the 68th minute but that did not stop Kyaddondo from scoring a beauty in 71st minute through shirt 20. Isaac Senyunja tapping a clear relay from shirt 11. Ismail Keita Ndifuna making it 2-0 a lead that made Kyaddondo Ssaza FC fans jubilate to the skies. With more pressure from Bulemeezi, Kyaddondo's shirt 7. Dathan Mubiru was booked at 90+2 but still they were victorious at the final whistle.
"This was a pay back win 2-0 on away against Bulemeezi, last season we left this place in cold heart after losing to them, but today we came well prepared for the task, the boys were in high game spirits and indeed deserved this.
