The Makerere University team, led by Coach Douglas Bamweyana, will compete in the Futsal tournament, which will take place at the state-of-the-art Suleiman Al-Darrat Complex in Benghazi.

The invitation was extended to Makere University Futsal Club by the University of Benghazi to be present at their inaugral international Futsal Championship.

Makerere University has been invited to represent Uganda at the University of Benghazi’s inaugral International Championship. Makerere was selected among the few esteem institutions to participate in this year's event and they are set fly to Libya early next week.

In preparation for the Championship, Makerere will take on Shukri FC in a friendly game to be played at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Saturday, 6th July
